Family Movie Night

Welcome to the Scrap Factory Brick People Blog Hop!

You’re sure to find some inspiration from the amazing projects created by our Design Team and Guests.

In the anticipation of the movie release I created a couple things for my kids to have a fantastic movie night!

First, I created some movie tickets using the Scrap Factory Brick People Expansion Pack.

To create the movie ticket I made a rectangle in my silhouette software that measures 2” x 5.7”.  I used digital paper to fill the rectangle.

From the Scrap Factory-Brick People Expansion Pack I assembled the Construction, Business, and Wild Girl Brick People in my silhouette software. The Construction Guy measures 2.75” and the Business Guy and Wild girl meausure 2.5”.  I arranged the characters within the ticket stub.

I used two fonts from dafont.com called New Bar Code and Brick to create all the information on our movie night.

Once all the designing was done I printed the tickets out on photo paper to make them seem more realistic.  I think my kids are going to love these!

Now, what’s a movie without popcorn? Thanks to Scrap Factory’s Brick People Expansion pack I have that all taken care of too!

I used a popcorn box file that I had from the silhouette store.  To begin with I opened 2 popcorn box files within my silhouette software.  One would be for the box and the other was going to be used to create a panel for the box.  I created a panel by cutting a side of the box off. I then did an Internal Offset creating the side panel.
I now filled the popcorn box with digital paper and printed and cut it with my silhouette cameo.  The finished box measures 6.75”.
Once, I had the panel done it measured 6.4”. I filled it with my digital paper. I then traced a city skyline image that I found on google. I placed the city in the background.
I then placed the assembled Construction Guy measuring 2.75” and the Wild Girl measuring 2.65” in front of the city skyline.
Once everything was in place I selected and grouped all of the panel and print and cut.  I glued the panel to the side of the popcorn box and now my kids are ready for a fun filled movie night!
